Stumbled across a fierce blog. It's High Heels for Men. The blog protests for men's right to wear high heels and stockings (and not be considered a crossdresser for doing so.)
Yeah i too agree with the protest to allow high heels for men and it doesn't mean that all men should wear it and we should not force other and moreover it will be really funny to watch. So if men is wearing high heels what is the combination of dress will be?
Well, there are no dress rules... Men may want to wear heels but they will not all prefer dresses and/or skirts to go with that... I can think of a few masculine oufits to go with heels... I really prefer a chunkier or thicker heel for a man, or platform styled. Not that I think all men should be in heels, just that if they want to wear them they should be able to without getting disapproving stares. I'm not a fan of the stilleto on a man... I'm not always a fan of the skinny heels on women either for that matter, especially when the heel is low... Kitten heels I can't stand on anyone.
So its ok for women to have a choice. Come rain or shine, day or night - I get the same options, suit, tie and shiney black shoes or jeans and a shirt. About time that mens fashion caught up - and re the wearyness, try wearing a double cuff shirt, tie and jacket! Bring it on
Hi City Darren! I do think anyone should be able to choose whatever they want to wear. If you want to wear something different, go for it! You can always mix it up with patterns, colors, textures, layering, silhouettes...
Men's fashion with high heel shoes & boots is one of diffrent men styles to day. I think thats no problem in combination to the other elements of her outfit. google search: 1599‑bu_jena.jpg
From the beginning of civilization, society has applied its influence to dictate the way it arrived at what people can choose to dress. With rules and standards, people were inflicted with shame and punishment when they didn't comply. Before society became so powerful, people were able to naturally select their own coverings. The options may have been limited to large leaves or some sort of plant weaving to cover with, but due to the excessive and quick deterioration rate of the materials, these covering items were most inconvenient. The creation of cloth was a welcomed, but expensive advancement in coverings. Like all consumer items, wealth determined who would have the use of cloth for their apparel and left the impoverished to continue using the large leaves and such. Situations and things such as this started social precedents that gave rise to the status and caste systems that are still in effect. Who can wear high heels is one of these ill-conceived precedents. Instead of individuals naturally choosing what they want to wear, society has used its self-promoted powers to dictate what it considers proper attire. The fashion industry was taking its cues from the same traditional attitude of telling people what they should prefer to wear under these standards, until some of the alternative fads and movements gained some influence through social awareness.

I agree with Andrea...kind of a block heel boot, bootie, or clog with opauge tights or skinny pants...
